Hole 5: Spieth (-5) missed both the fairway and the green to the left and was unable to get up-and-down for par. Reed (-2) bogeyed as well after hitting his second shot over the green and watching his chip shot cascade down the slope.

Hole 6: Spieth (-6) continued his streak of interesting holes, this time making a 20-footer for birdie. Reed (-3) made his birdie putt from the back of the green as well, which should give him some much-needed momentum.

Hole 7: Spieth (-5) three-putted for bogey after blowing his first putt 8 feet by, and still has only one par on the day. Reed (-1) actually four-putted for double-bogey, after his woeful first putt failed to make it up the slope.

Hole 8: Spieth (-5) missed a 6 foot right-to-left curler for birdie, and tapped in for par. Reed (-1) missed the green to the right on the reachable par 5 and failed to get up-and-down for birdie. Reed needs to make something happen if he wants to stay in contention.

Hole 10: Spieth (-4) two-putted for a much-needed par after an incredible second shot from the right-hand rough reached the green. Reed (+1) three-putted for a double-bogey in what is now turning into a horror show. Reed now has three double-bogeys on the day.

Hole 11: Spieth (-3) missed the fairway yet again and had to pitch out to 145 yards. He gave himself a chance, but ultimately two-putted for yet another bogey. Reed (+2) bogeyed again and is now 7 over through 11 holes.

Hole 12: Spieth (-3) and Reed (+2) both missed the green short on the driveable par 4, and both failed to get up-and-down for birdie. They settled for par.

Hole 13: Spieth (-3) hit the fairway and two-putted for par to remain one shot back. Reed (+1) stuck his second shot to less than a foot and kicked in his birdie. He’s still not out of it.

Hole 14: Spieth (-3) caught an unlucky break on his second shot, but was able to get up-and-down from the back of the green. Reed (+1) two-putted for par.

Hole 15: Spieth (-4) made a nice birdie to get back into a share of the lead. Reed (E) birdied again and is gaining momentum.

Hole 16: Spieth (-4) missed a great opportunity to take the lead by three-putting after driving the green. Reed (E) made a clutch 4-foot par putt to remain level par.

Hole 17: Spieth (-4) missed another short birdie putt after hitting his tee shot to 10 feet. Reed (+1) dropped a shot with a bogey.

Hole 18: Spieth (-4) shook off the frustration to finish with a par and a round of 71. Reed (+1) shot 76.
