Woods has won three U.S. Opens (2000, 2002, 2008), tied for his fewest victories of any major, but one of those three wins came at Pebble Beach, the site of this year’s tournament.

Since Woods’ Masters victory — a big reason why he is No. 5 in the world right now — he has played in just one tournament outside of a listless PGA Championship performance, the Memorial Tournament, where he finished in the top 10 two weeks ago.
