The USA will host Azerbaijan at 10 p.m. ET on May 27 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. The Americans will then travel to the east coast to face Turkey at 2 p.m. on June 1 at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. Jurgen Klinsmann's side will wrap the send-off series against fellow World Cup participant Nigeria at 6 p.m. on June 6 at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. All three games will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2, as well as WatchESPN and UniMas....

A State Department spokesperson told Newsweek that the situation in Cuba remains a top priority for President Joe Biden’s administration and noted that the ongoing protests are a result of how the Cuban communist government has failed to help its people. Asked during a press briefing on U.S. foreign assistance in response to the COVID-19 outbreak whether the U.S. would reconsider its aid cutoff to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the wake of the pandemic, James Richardson, director of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources, said it was a possibility. “I would say that it’s important for countries to come forward if they have needs,” he said. “I think this is what we saw particularly in China where the need was not apparent right away....

There are a whole host of games we’re excited to hear about, chief among them being Beyond Good And Evil 2, the pirate centric Skull and Bones and potentially even Watch Dogs 3. Some other interesting appearances could also be on the cards, with a reworked space exploration simulator called Pioneer being teased for a while now. A report from Kotaku back in January suggested the game was to be about ‘non-violent space exploration’....

Ubisoft was quick to try and distinguish the flames back then as Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag took center stage - bolstered by the impressive early unveiling of Tom Clancy’s The Division - but as a tweet from an Ubisoft employee suggests, the publisher and developer are finally ready to reveal a brand new Prince of Persia game. The tweet comes hot off the heels of the report that not only is a new Prince of Persia game incoming but it is also set to be a 2D sidescroller running on Ubisoft’s UbiArt Framework engine which has been used to power the unique art styles of limbless protagonist Rayman in both Rayman Legends and Rayman Origins - the engine also behind upcoming JRPG, Child of Light....

Reportedly, Ubisoft has previously mishandled several reports of sexual misconduct, leading the company to attempt to transform its HR processes to better catch this sort of issue. Apparently, the company is attempting to focus on addressing harassment before it occurs. Multiplayer might not be the first thing Assassin’s Creed fans think of when the franchise pops into their heads, but it has a history with the series, being a popular game mode for players, especially in Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Brotherhood. When it first appeared in the series, multiplayer in Assassin’s Creed would give fans access to one of a few characters, and in different game modes, they usually had to hunt down another player as a target while trying to evade assassination themselves....

In an announcement that wasn’t shared widely, Ubisoft reportedly told the Discord community for Roller Champions that it wouldn’t arrive before March 31 as previously announced. Instead, Roller Champions is being targeted as a late spring release, which likely means it’ll be targeting June. Another Roller Champions delay isn’t impossible, of course, given the project’s struggles up to this point. At that point, however, it becomes more of a question of if, not when....

On March 6, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed it had obtained evidence Ukraine and the U.S. had collaborated to develop biological weapons. The claim was made by Major General Igor Konashenkov and widely reported in Russian media. Konashenkov alleged that pathogens for deadly diseases such as the plague, anthrax and cholera were being created to be used for biological warfare in Ukrainian laboratories funded by the U.S. Department of Defense....

The virus, which was first reported in Wuhan, China, has infected more than 1.3 million people around the world, including in the U.S., which remains the epicenter of the outbreak. The calculations are based upon the daily coronavirus case count in early November and percentage growth trends. The virus has flourished to unprecedented heights in the country this month, with the U.S. reporting 184,514 new cases and 1,431 deaths on Friday, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. It is the highest number of new cases reported in a single day in the U.S. since the crisis began earlier this year, and Friday marked the fourth day in a row in which the country broke its own record for new cases....

As the U.S. seeks to complete evacuations by the August 31 deadline, other countries have ended their evacuation efforts. Despite the White House announcement on Wednesday that it had evacuated about 19,000 people from Afghanistan in a 24-hour period, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said up to 1,500 Americans might still be seeking evacuation. The State Department assessed that when the evacuation campaign commenced on August 14, around 6,000 Americans in Afghanistan were looking to be transported out....

Lapid told reporters Sunday that the United States not only needed to present weaponry similar to the bunker-busting bombs the country used to leverage a deal in 2015, but to maintain those weapons as a strong deterrent against Iran to prevent it from violating a future arms agreement or from developing a nuclear weapon when the deal expires.
