The Assassin’s Creed movie, released in 2016, was set to receive a sequel at 20th Century Fox, but was canceled after the company merged with Disney....

While gamers might think that Ubisoft is dead-set on their yearly Assassin’s Creed release schedule, they are actually not. In fact, as they have recently revealed, they would not think twice about delaying a future AC release is the quality was not up to snuff. According to Ubisoft North America President Laurent Detoc, the developer feels that releasing a game that’s anything less than 100% eventually damages the brand....

During an interview with Bloomberg News on Wednesday, Sanofi’s Chief Executive Officer Paul Hudson claimed the U.S. was entitled to “the largest pre-order” of possible immunizations coming next year, should the company produce one that is eventually approved for widespread use. Hudson said this was because the U.S. had contributed funding to the vaccine’s development efforts. The U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, a branch of the Department of Health and Human Services, broadened its already existing partnership with Sanofi in February with intentions to finance medical advancements related to the pandemic....

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) asserts what it calls “historic rights” to every island within its “nine-dash line,” claiming jurisdiction over waters surrounding hundreds of features in the sea, including those submerged beneath the surface. The report, Limits in the Seas No. 150, assesses China’s maritime rather than territorial claims against provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). The U.S. takes no position on sovereignty over the approximately 250 islands, reefs, shoals and banks in the sea, but it insists on the right to innocent passage through its busy trade routes, especially in areas where Beijing’s maritime control contradicts international law....

This decision allows Chevron, the second-largest U.S. oil company, to continue working on existing projects in Venezuela through a license, which could be canceled by the U.S. at any time, that lasts six months and will be automatically renewed afterwards on a monthly basis, Reuters reported.
